Walden Campout

Friday-Sunday, August 23-25
General Butler State Park

We hope you can join us for our second annual WPA-sponsored Walden Campout! The campout will take place Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25. Both RV and tent sites are available. The WPA will provide pizza Saturday evening and a grab-and-go cold breakfast on Sunday morning. Each family will be responsible for booking and paying for their own campsite and bringing their own food for meals not being provided. To register for this fun family event please complete BOTH of the steps below:

  • STEP 1: Call Rita at General Butler State Park to reserve your campsite (502-732-4384 Option #4). Tell her you are with Sarah’s Walden group. (You may need to leave a message and request a call back). Tent sites will have electric and water hookups. RV sites will have 15/30/50 amp full hook-up. Group pricing is $59.58 for the weekend. Each site can accommodate 2 cars and 2 camping units. The booking deadline and cancellation date is August 1. Click here for a list of campground regulations.

  • STEP 2: Let us know you are coming! After completing Step 1, email Sarah Recio at sarah.cusick@gmail.com with the following information:

    • Site #

    • Number adults attending

    • Number of children attending and grades/ages
