What a wonderful start to kindergarten! These first few days of school we have been getting to know routines, rules, and our way around the school! We have been very busy exploring and learning what to expect in kindergarten. Next week we will begin our first language arts theme called “Welcome to Kindergarten.” As part of this theme, each day there will be a new “student of the day” to help us get to know each other. On your child’s day, he/she will bring home pictures drawn by all of his/her classmates. Your child will also draw a self-portrait, but that will be kept at school for our “Getting to Know You” bulletin board.
Reminders:
· If you haven’t already, please send in a change of clothes for your child to keep at school.
· Show-and-Tell starts on Monday!
Coming up in September:
· Sept. 6 is Labor Day – NO SCHOOL!
· Sept. 9 - Lower School Open House 6:30 – 8:30p.m.
· Sept. 13 – Meet the Board of Trustees - 8:00 a.m.
· Sept. 23 – K-1 Stage One field trip – “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”
Thank you for a great first week! This is a wonderful class!
Have a great weekend!!
