Course Description

This class focuses mostly on beginning and advanced techniques in Photoshop. Students will design fun, creative ad layouts, advanced website designs and eye-catching animations. The primary software applications used are Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. Digital photography will also be incorporated. The prerequisite for this class is Computer Applications, related experience and/or teacher recommendation.


Course Objectives

Students will learn how to design professional ad layouts, advanced web designs and computer animations. This class will partially be responsible for producing the school’s yearbook and the end-of-year video.


Text & Materials

Bring a notebook, paper and pen to class daily. Textbook: TBA


Methods Of Evaluation & Grading Polices

All work may be made up for excused absences, with the exception of daily work, which will not count against an excused absence (it will not be averaged in).  Unexcused absences however, will be averaged in as a zero. For more on absences and tardies please refer the school's handbook.

Projects and lessons are each worth 10 points.

Grading Scale:              
A  93-100
B  85-92
C  77-84
D  70-76
F  0-69


Classroom Rules and Polices

Arrive to class on time, with notebook, paper and pen. Please raise hand before speaking. Unless otherwise told, do not play games, check email, listen to music, blog, instant message, download, or install anything. Also please refer to the School's Network and Internet use policy.
