5th & 6th Grade Summer Reading Participants

PARENTS:
- Homework assignments will begin this week. Assignments should be written in the student's agenda and posted on the teacher's hw page. In these beginning days please, help your child with mapping out their time for the week.
- Summer reading logs are due by Thursday, August 26th. They are printed from Mrs.Elder's Web Page and students should turn them in to me.
- My classes participate in Scholastic Book Clubs. Students will be given order sheets monthly. When ordering, fill out the order slip and send in to me with a check made out to Scholastic. Scholastic will not accept cash. Book orders enable me to accumulate bonus points which I use to purchase novels for our classroom.
- If your child is celebrating a birthday you may send in a special treat to be shared during morning break (9:50-10:05)! Remember that the 5th grade classes have break together. There are 22 students.
